It is mentioned at the Facebook FAQ that timeline cover image must be at least 720 pixels wide. Images with smaller size will get upload errors So, However, when i tried, i come to know that we CAN upload an image for cover at least 399px wides. So, if you were upload 399px wide picture, Facebook will zoom this picture to fit in the timeline covers.

A no. of bloggers are using guest posting on diffrenent sites to share their experience to all over the world Guest Blogging is so much popular now a days. A Websites Owners must create a Page about Guest Blogging beacause of traffic and knowledge.

Now what about the other sides of the coin , the blogger looking to publish guest posts. Heres i want to looked at my personal experience as a blogger going from wondering if the link to submit guest posts on my blog was working to receiving up to 50 post and enquires weekly.While its now fantastic having such an interest from bloggers all over the world in contributing, not all submissions have your blogs best interests in mind.I have probably only actually published b/w ten or twenty percent of posts submitted.

Post must be on topic with your blog :- In my blog that covers blogging tips and tutorials i have received posts on topics as far afield as Picking a cellphone to buying a used car.While you may think its easier to just ignore emails with such posts you may end up wasting time opening follow up emails, i reply with simply "No Thanks post is totally off topic".In one case a blogger has accidentally sent me the wrong post and the post that was written for my blog was subsequently published so do reply.

2. Post must have no links in the body - The accepted rule in guest posts is two Do-Follow links for the author in the foot of the post.However i have received countless posts stuffed with links to the authors sites.Of course there are exceptions, some posts use references that will require a link.In such cases links advance the post and are not an author looking to benefit.Recently i have been contacted by writers for SEO company's that submit

How to Fine A Thin Contents on Your's Site. Every site is popular now a days because of the high usage of net. Site traffic hit by Google Panda : ) It is an essential way to find thin content on your sites and remove it to avoid being slapped by Google algorithm penalties like Google Panda, which specifically target to reduce search engine rankings to sites with thin content.

What is Thin Content ?

The Question is that ? Simply put its poor content , low quality contents , few words of content which is classified as ‘low quality’ by search engines and fails to generate any significant search engine traffic. So basically it adds to the site bloat and reduces your link equity values. Note that low pageviews does not necessarily mean thin content, its possible the content is good, but not highly searched.
If you are autogenerate or scrape content , it can lead to thousands of low quality web pages which get no traffic, so this thin content is what needs to be fixed or moved to different domain / subdomain to fix Google Panda penalty (e.g. we moved our job board to a different domain, as it synced data from a huge dataset).

So lets get started. Open up your Google Analytics statistic (Google Analytics is a must have site traffic tracking tool, and its free! now ). Go to Content > Site Content > Content Drilldown. Then choose to review traffic details of the last one years.

We will use archives based on months in a path like /archives/year/month/, we simply browse down to Content Drilldown > Archives > Year > Month.

Now you can also analyze in detail which articles are getting low traffic. Remember to sort by pageviews to get the data.

We tend to delete or unpublish all articles which have less than 10 pageviews in per year!
Depending on your sites database, you can instead choose 3-6 month data and decide on lower criteria like 5 pageviews. Either way you need to relook at all these pages and analyze why these pages are getting low traffic, fix the content, or move to drafts to fix later, or simply delete them. Since these articles never received any traffic over the year, removing them would not make a traffic drop anyway.

Remove the Thin Content's :

Most of the articles affected with low traffic on our site were having large blockquoted text. The blogging styles were different in 2004-2007 , and there was a tendency to repeatedly quote text from authoritative resources. After a threshold, this might have been viewed as copied -duplicate content from another site (especially since blockquotes are also linked back to the sources).
Another important group was articles with the broken links. Well WordPress has an amazing excellent plugin to find broken links and nofollow them all in just a minutes.. We are still working on removing broken links from our old archive pages, as over 10% links were be broken.
We reviewed a lots of old contents month by month and identified lots of low traffic contents , removed quoted content, fixed articles which were useful, and yet deleted over 500 articles over the last week … and plan to remove at least 200 more this week now...

Warning: Remove contents only if you clearly understand what you are doing. It might be better idea to unpublish rather than delete post, in case you need to restore contents later. Many of these articles may have backlinks and may have had traffic further in the pasts, so if you created the contents you know what your past popular content was like nobody else. It is a good idea to edit or delete the content yourself, rather than outsourcing it to an intern.

Note: Low pageviews does not necessarily mean thin content, its possible the content is good, but not highly searched, and removing them can harm your site. So it is essential to check your content, identify why its ranking poorly, and if it is actually good original content, but with low searched terms and therefore low pageviews … keep it.

6. Optimize Your Database Tables :

As with any dynamic contents management systems , great part of the work yours WordPress site does is related to getting, storing, removing and updating information on its databases. Thats why optimizing your database tables can affect your sites performance. : )
